so this piece was inspired by an antique copy of Alice through the Looking Glass, walking out of the thrift store the book was in I found a feather at my feet. I had to incorporate it into the artwork as part of my inspiration.

Oh, they call me the Queen of Hearts. And they call me a queen, but what they really mean is I am Fury itself. A magnificent, glorious storm of it! They say I am blind and aimless, but I see everything, every crooked smile, every half-hearted bow. I am not a king with his dull laws and dusty robes; I am pure, unadulterated passion. My power is not in reason, but in my magnificent, terrible temper. I am the thunder, the fire, the very embodiment of "Off with his head!" A threat they say is empty, but isn't a threat only empty if you don't believe in its power? My power is in the trembling they feel, the fear they carry in their hearts. They think I'm just a tyrant, a child's absurd nightmare, but I am the truth of power”
